Synopsis for Original Title
Marwen is the only child of the king. When she inherits his kingdom, the powerful men of the aristocracy look upon her as nothing but a girl - a figurehead to be manipulated and married off. The prince of a neighboring territory looks upon her as a prize of war - and an easy way to seize the neighboring crown. Although she is cunning and ruthless, Marwen does not stand along against her enemies. She has allies among the people who still cherish the memory of the ancient hill queens. Above all she has Shadra.
