Description
A deep yellow sky with red clouds herald a setting sun, in this painting by Geoff Taylor, making a silhouette of the mountain range that will mask it. A falcon is backlit with the full ray of the sun as it flies over a fortress and city built on and into a massive rock close to the edge of the sea. On the opposite mountain outcrop, another fortress has been built with a crevasse separating the them.
Synopsis for Original Title
The Shining Falcon. Storm-torn and ragged, the shining falcon falls to earth plummeting into a vast and dangerous woodland inhabited by magical beings as old as the world. Now the life of Finist, shape-shifting Prince of Kirtesk, rests in the healing hands of Maria, the noble daughter of a betrayed lord, exiled to the anonymity of the forest. While far away in the vacated court, a beautiful enchantress plots the ulitmate treachery.
