Description
In this painting by Geoff Taylor an old wizard, carrying a lantern, is knocking on a Gothic door in a Tower. On the top step with him sits a terrier type of dog. On the hand rail sits a tawny owl. The hand rails have carved wooden bird heads with big beaks. The landscape in the background consists of rocks and some fir trees. There is a crescent moon in the cloudless night sky.

Threads of Magic. There is unrest as harsh times fall upon Elundium. However there is still hope, for magic is returning to battle the Company of Murderers in their attempt to dethrone Thane and return the Chancellors to Power. Nevian Master of Magic takes on the crippled sweep's boy, Drib, as his apprentice.
