A Quest for Simbilis - art by Geoff Taylor

In this painting by Geoff Taylor there stands a futuristic city carved or built into the top of a mountain. In the foreground stands a figure of a young man a shining torch in his hand looking over toward the city. On rocks in the sea leading to the city are two giant towers with a lit flame, like beacons. The sun with a corona of orange light reflecting in the water, is beginning to set.
